Vermiculite is a lamellar structure mineral of the micas family (magnesium-aluminium-silicate).

A heat treatment (± 900° C) causes the exfoliation of the mineral in an accordion shaped ore. The volume thus increases from 10 to 20 times and the stored air gives it a natural insulating property.

  • XatiVerm (EX) Exfoliated range used as mineral fillers in industry, particularly for plaster and concrete, as a horticultural preservative, as a protection and cushioning system for packaging’s and as a liquid absorbing agent.
