It is a group of natural alumina-silicate minerals that contain different proportions of chemical elements: in particular potassium, sodium, calcium and/or lithium.
Feldspar is especially attractive for the paint, plastics, rubber, sealant and adhesive industries due to its dispersibility and low viscosity in the pulp.

Furthermore, it is hard and resistant to chemicals and abrasion. It also has good reinforcing properties for geopolymers.
In addition, feldspars play a role as fluxing agents, as they contribute to the formation of the glass phase even at relatively low temperatures (1180 to 1400 °C).
